Distribution: This conure is native to the north-eastern coastal forests of South America, specifically eastern Venezuela, North-eastern Brazil and Northern Amazonas.
Relative Size: The average weight for a Sun Conure is between 100g and 123g. Their length is approximately 12 inches from head to tail.
Average Lifespan: Sunconures can live for 25 to 30 years.
Description: Sun conures are one of the most popular and beautiful conure. Their vivid colors consist of red-orange, gold yellow and red on the head, face, abdomen and back. Some wing feathers are green, and flight and tail feathers are blue and green. Their mandibles are black, and the feet gray to black. Young Conures have more green feathers and their brighter colors appear after several molts. They are very active and some besome good talkers but their voices are loud. They love to play.
